Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are integral to the way we operate. Our integrated management system provides a consistent framework for managing HSEQ across our business and projects, with performance regularly monitored, reviewed and improved.

Health & Safety

Quality

Quality is fundamental to our reputation and the long-term success of our projects.

Our quality management system provides a structured approach to ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with the design, specification, relevant standards and client requirements.

Our objective is simple: get it right first time and provide our clients with confidence in the quality, performance and durability of our work.

We operate an ISO 9001:2015-certified Quality Management System and work in accordance with the requirements of National Highways Sector Scheme 16 (NHSS 16) for the laying of asphalt mixes.

Environmental Responsibility

We recognise our responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our activities and to protect the communities and environments in which we work.

We operate an ISO 14001:2015-certified Environmental Management System, encompassing:

Competence & Training

Our people are fundamental to the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of our projects.

Our in-house resources enable us to invest in the training, competence and professional development of our workforce, ensuring that people are appropriately qualified, experienced and competent for the work they undertake.

We also work closely with our supply chain to ensure that subcontractors and specialist contractors have the appropriate skills, experience, qualifications and resources to undertake their activities safely and effectively.

Continual Improvement

We believe HSEQ performance should continually evolve.

We monitor our performance through inspections, audits, performance data, incident and near-miss reporting, client feedback and management reviews. Where improvements are identified, we implement appropriate corrective actions and share learning across the business.

This enables us to learn from experience, promote good practice and continually raise the standards we set for ourselves.
